Why We’ve Not Released UTME Results – JAMB

Image
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has revealed why it is yet to release the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results. JAMB Registrar/Chief Executive, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, speaking on Tuesday said the reason is because of some internal appraisal. According to him, JAMB wouldn’t want to release results because it had asked people to submit reports, particularly of malpractices. Oloyede stated these in an interview in Abuja during a meeting of the National Youth Service Corps management and with Registrars of Corps Producing Institutions in Nigeria. He said, “Yes, we have no reason not to release the results but we are also doing some internal appraisal. One, we don’t want this situation where you release results and you start to withdraw some; so we have asked people to submit reports, particularly of malpractices. “And for the first day after the result was ready, we now scrutinized and we saw that about 40 per cent of the report were not in. "The Lost Gospel" authors based assertions on an ancient manuscript.   2:25 Alleged 'Lost Gospel' Claims Jesus Had Wife, 2 Children. — -- A new book based on interpretations of ancient texts features an explosive claim: Jesus Christ married Mary Magdalene, and the couple had two children. In “The Lost Gospel,” set for release Wednesday, authors Simcha Jacobovici and Barrie Wilson argue that the original Virgin Mary was Jesus’ wife – not his mother – and that there was an assassination attempt on Jesus’ life 13 years before he was crucified. The writers say they spent six years working on the book. Their arguments are based on an ancient manuscript dating back nearly 1,500 years, one they say they found in a British library, translating the text from an Aramaic dialect into English. Mark Goodacre, a professor of religious studies at Duke University, is skeptical of the book’s findings. “I don’t think that there is any credibility in these claims at all,” Goodacre said....
