Adamu Garba withdraws from presidential contest after collecting N83 million from Donations Nigerians made

  Adamu Garba has withdrawn from the presidential race scheduled for next year after raising N83 million from Nigerians. Mr Garba told Peoples Gazette that even though he had withdrawn from the exercise, it won’t be the end of his quest to govern Nigeria someday. Mr Garba said the N100 million for nomination forms of the ruling All Progressives Congress is exploitative and may not encourage good governance. The development comes after the politician raised over N83 million in donations from Nigerians. “We have recorded the sum of N81,750,000.00 in private donations and N1,457, 794.70 in online donations. Totaling N83,207,794.70. “We sincerely, immensely, and graciously thank everyone for these wonderful contributions and donations, including those who made theirs anonymously. “We, however, request that all those who donated online and who require a refund send an email with evidence of payment on the attached document to assure you of a complete refund upon request,” Mr Garba said....

Soldiers intercept millions of Naira allegedly being transported to bandits

  Nigerian soldiers have intercepted a vehicle with millions of naira alleged to be transported by bandits. Despite the claims, no arrested bandit was spotted in the video and evidence of cash was not also revealed. Spotted in the vehicle also, were crates of eggs. People have reacted to the video, claiming that it could be a ransom by the family of a kidnapped victim and as such the soldiers should tread with caution. It’s no longer news, the attacks and kidnaps done by these “bandits”. Just recently the former MD of an agricultural bank was kidnapped and a ransom of about N100 million was allegedly paid for his release.

Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda institute Ten Year Best Science Student Edowment Fund

  The front runner in the race for the Governorship of Plateau State under the banner of the APC, Dr Nentawe Yilwatda has instituted a ten year Best Science Student endowment fund in the prestigious Catholic Institution of St Augustine’s College Du, in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. The Endowment fund which was announced on behalf of Dr Nentawe by an APC Chieftain and ardent apostle of the Generation Next Movement, Hon Festus Fuanter at the St Augustine’s Students Cultural Festival held at the Schools’ premises. According to Dr Nentawe Yilwatda who is an Engineer and an Associate Professor Computer Science, the ten year endowment is in the sum of twenty five thousand Naira every session to the Best Science Student of the School.   No fewer than 17 constituents of PKK, mostly youths, have today joined the ranks of car owners proudly made by the member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi. At a well attended ceremony at the Pankshin Mini-stadium today, 35 youths were equally handed keys to brand new Boxer motorcycles, with 5 others taking home tricycles each, in an empowerment program that seeks to ameliorate the suffering of members of the Constituency.
